How it Works
callMDRx is made possible through a coordinated treatment effort between current attending physicians and virtual physicians partners, Care Management Teams, and Clinical Pharmacists. Best of all, it provides the virtual care component for the members’ convenience.
Most care management programs, either network-based or through a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), do not tackle specialty drug costs. In addition, most pharmacy programs do not utilize a coordinated care approach. callMDRx tackles both those challenges. Our goal is to help patients achieve a better quality of life through continuous care while providing additional convenience and cost savings.
The Program utilizes Coordinated Care Management (CCM) and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) protocols which provide additional medical insight and patient care on an ongoing basis. Patients will receive program prescribed medications by mail order home delivery directly from the pharmacy partner.
Provider Partner
Virtual visit with a provider partner who will conduct an initial review of the patient medical history.
Write prescriptions based on the review and employee’s current medications prescribed by their attending healthcare providers.
Care Management Team
Facilitate all aspects of care to include assisting in removing any barriers to care which result in increased ER visits and repeat hospitalizations.
Provide support to employees with chronic medical conditions working with the attending healthcare provider and clinical pharmacy partners as well as other providers as needed.
Clinical Pharmacist
Review prescribed medications and provide medical insight to ensure the most cost-effective prescriptions are prescribed.
Waiving prescription co-pays by utilizing mail-order delivery directly from pharmacy partner.
Provide ongoing medication adherence counseling for those who struggle with medication adherence thus reducing frequent physician visits, ER visits, and inpatient hospital visits.
